- Use the stain tool to change every instance of a color, within a specific area, to another color.

- • Select the stain tool. All the tools, except those that
- work with the stain, will disappear.
- • Give the stain tool a color. This is the color that will
- replace the color you are staining.
- • Select the appropriate area selector (oval, marquee, or
- lasso). The marquee is selected by default.
- • Select a region in the painting to be stained.
- • Click inside this region on the color you want to stain.
